Making Costumes

How to Make a Medieval Costume

Materials:

  • A Pillow Case
  • Red or Blue Paint
  • Paintbrushes
  • Ruler
  • Pencil
  • Scissors (sharp)

Instructions:

  1. Fold the pillow case in half, then half again and press down to create creases.
  2. Unfold the pillowcases and draw lines in the creases you have made (on both sides) so you have 4 equal quarters on each side.
  3. Cut up the sides of the pillow cases (down the seam line) so that the pillow case can be laid out flat.
  4. Paint alternate sections of the pillow case in the colour of your choice (I used red and blue) and then paint a cross in the section that will be the front, top left when wearing.
  5. When dry, cut a head hole in the centre of the pillow case - it is now ready to wear.
